So, I learned something new today. After reading through this comment column, I've come to discover the existance of something called a "bot?"

I got one of these comments also. I signed up at that place, but I haven't done a thing with it. I guess I was just trying to be polite, but now I just feel like an ass.

The good thing is, now we can use his site for our own shameless advertising and spam:

I'm trying to get a free Xbox, and this site supposedly gives out free Xboxs and ipods and whatnot. You just have to join up and then complete an offer and get others to do the same like I'm doing now. Some of the offers are free or just a trial for a dollar etc. so you can get away with getting one pretty cheaply in theory.

I like this one because its for most countries, not just America like all the others. Here's my link.

Yea, I suspect so too. Many people have been tagged by the same "like your writing, come check out this link." thing. Kind of sad though, why try to pull us deviants out? I'm quite cozy here. Besides, I never did like the idea of having other writers mess with my writing like that. A comment or suggestion or correction is fine but for someone else to continue one of my works, it just seems a bit awkward to me. I don’t know, I guess I’m just weird like that.

No, I don't think you're weird. I know what you mean about being cozy here, even though I don't know many people. As for messing with writing, everyone has different styles and ideas, so putting a piece together--especially with random internet people you haven't even met--would be dumb. Chances are the product wouldn't read smoothly and coherently.

As for comments, it blows to have some dude compliment your stuff and realize its a bot. Are there many on here? (I'm kinda new...o.o')
